Mark became politically active in 2016 realizing the threat Trump resented to our Democracy. During that election season he began to participate in LD18 (now LD12) events, held fundraisers for Democratic candidates, and soon became a PC in the district.
In the lead-up to the 2024 election, Mark helped organize volunteers to write over 30,000 postcards to reach voters across Arizona. He also helped coordinate the LD12 Neighbor to Neighbor Letter program, which helped turn out 91% of Democrats in the district.
When the LD12 district Treasurer position became available, he stepped up, knowing he could add value as a retired CFO to bring structure and streamline the district’s reporting and budgeting process.
Mark has always considered himself a progressive and feels very strongly about supporting marginalized communities, ending gun violence, and addressing the existential threat of climate change.
